one more day!

I am TIRED, TIRED, TIRED! I'm trying to wrap things up tonight so I can get a good nights rest tomorrow night and not be running around like a chicken. I now have THREE bags stuffed with goods to take to India, thanks to some generous people whom I should mention. First, my mother-in-law, Karen. She donated a bag full of toys, like bouncy balls, and stuffed animals. Very thoughtful! And Sherrin Gratten, donated some very soft baby blankets. Thank you deeply.

Now we are in the final stages of organizing. Like how do we get to the airport, pay the rent, charge the batteries and make sure I have all the right clothes, shoes and necessary items. Julian and Bella got ipod, nano's for their birthdays recently. So we downloaded videos and tv shows so when we are travelling they can carry them in their pocket and entertain themselves. We hopoe!

Off tomorrow morning to Sarasota, about a two hour drive from here, to go to another OBAMA rally and be a part of something I believe so passionately in. Go OBAMA!

Three days to go and the virgo in me is doing a fine job. Below is a photo of all the gifts I'm taking to India for the orphanages. I inventoried everything and packed it firmly into two duffle bags. I've also documented what it looks like when a family of SIX travel overseas. Actually, I've packed light. One bag of clothes for Mark and I and one bag for all the kids clothes. Then there is a bag for all the baby supplies, like formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, food, hand sanitizer, etc. Then I have two carry on bags with the essentials and one double stroller and one car seat.

Maleria medicine

Yesterday, was the day to start taking the anti-maleria medicine. It comes in a tablet form and when added to liquid it dissolves.
Bodhi and Lotus got 1/4 tablet and Julian and Bella got 1/2 a tablet and I took a full tablet. OMG!!! Those kids thought i was trying to poison them or something. Lotus was the worst. She screamed for 2 hours afterward and kept trying to spit. I understand it tastes yucky, but she wouldn't drink or eat anything afterwards. I even tried bribing her with cookie dough and gum. For those of you that know Lotus, she even refused GUM!!!

Well, it's all over now, not quite sure how much they final got into their systems. But i hope for the best. This will be a weekly routine for the next 7 weeks, for the 2 and 1/2 weeks we are in India and then 4 weeks after. I also got a polio shot and Typhoid shot. Ouch!
